A Short History Of Gold
Can you ever think that scribbles can sell at millions of dollars? Even if you try to earn peanuts out of your scribbles, you will hardly find any buyers. However, the connoisseurs gladly accepted the artworks of Sir C.Y. Twombly, the great American Graffiti Painter. His works have been auctioned for millions of dollars. Incredible but true, his three works created between 1998-99 fetched whopping AUD4.5 million in 2004, when purchased by the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Today’s White Comics studies proponents build on a tradition of research that came mostly from scholars of color: W.E.B. DuBois, Oliver Cox, Carter Woodson, Walter Rodney, Frantz Fanon and many others. In order to survive, black people and other people of color have become shrewd observers of whiteness. Some of the more thoughtful articles that appeared during the recent Democratic primary are modern examples of this.
With these principles, the Millennial School of Poetics aspires to tie together all the strings of poetic principles from schools that came before it. We do not reject them. We embrace them. All the forms, all the styles, all the tools and techniques of previous schools of poetry are available to us. We study them so that we can employ them, own them, and improve them.
However, all history has relevance to where we are today. That said however, you probably want to know some tips for writing a good history essay. First of all, realize that the subject of history has very little to do with dates although you will have to remember that. Instead, what history try to teach us is various important events that happened and the lessons we can learn from. In this, above all else, is the basis of a good history essay. The last thing you want to do is just have your essay be a chronological essay that is devoid of any human touch, creativity, or issues at all.
Instead, custom business plan writing – our story – is an integral part of everything. Business-wise, it can be a powerful marketing and public relations tool. Because it gets you into non-sales environments, you will attract customers, boost customer loyalty and your reputation.
Of the thousands of writers I’ve worked with on preparing their scripts and pitching them, there is one single greatest and most common problem with the pitch (and usually the story itself ). The biggest problem is the plot! You might be thinking, “No kidding, Sherlock, how’d you get to be so smart–the plot is the whole deal.” But what I mean is this.
At the next family function or reunion, have any older children present the concept of a Family Health History Tree as a “School Project”. It’s hard to turn down a possible life-saving health project such as this, especially when they want to do well in School.
TRAVEL THROUGH TIME – Find local attractions that are of historical significance, and if you can afford it, get out of the US! I recently traveled to see an operating hundred year old Cotton Gin in Burton, TX—only an hour from Houston, where I live. There are attractions of this sort throughout the country. Certainly, Civil War re-enactments abound. But beyond that, do whatever you can to jump overseas. Plan a trip to Rome, Athens, or Paris at least once in your kids’ education. And get them involved in the planning. Putting together a family vacation to see famous historical places is a great homeschooling project!
To help students have fun learning a specific area, I would give a trivia question (for extra credit or points towards a class reward) describing a place where I would be traveling. Borrowed from the video game and Saturday cartoon Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago, I posted a large map of the world on a bulletin board with the caption, “Where in the World is Mrs. Conway?”. I then placed a small picture of a plane with my name on the board. At the end of the day, I would post a question about a specific location and the students would have to look it up using atlas or other means. When the answer was given, a pin would be placed on the map.
There are two kinds of history, the documented and the undocumented. These two differs on the kind of approach from people. Documented histories are seen on books, libraries and other medium whereas the undocumented are those events that have no evidence like storytelling, legends and more.
Take the time to find stories to illustrate you main historical points and you’ll have more fun teaching and your students will have more fun learning. Want proof? I still run into students I taught 20 years ago who say, “You know I still remember that story you told about Catherine the Great.” It doesn’t get better than that!
